Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the PlanetGraph platform, API, and related services (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

2. Description of Service

PlanetGraph is an AI-native graph database platform that allows you to create, store, query, and share graph data (nodes, edges, and properties). The Service includes a web application, REST API, query execution engine, and a data marketplace where users can share access to properties via configurable access policies.

3. Account Registration

You must create an account to use the Service. You agree to provide accurate information, keep your credentials secure, and notify us immediately of any unauthorized access. You are responsible for all activity under your account, including API key usage.

4. Tokens and Billing

The Service operates on a token-based billing model. Tokens are consumed when you perform operations such as creating nodes, executing queries, or purchasing access to shared properties.

  • Token purchases are non-refundable except where required by law.
  • Tokens do not expire and remain in your account until consumed.
  • We reserve the right to adjust operation costs with 30 days' notice.
  • Free tokens granted at signup are subject to the same terms as purchased tokens.

5. Your Data

You retain all ownership rights to the data you store on PlanetGraph. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to process your data solely to provide, maintain, and improve the Service.

You are responsible for ensuring that data you upload does not violate any applicable laws or third-party rights. You must not store data that is illegal, infringing, or harmful.

6. Data Sharing and Access Policies

You may create access policies that allow other users to purchase access to specific properties in your graph. When you share data through access policies:

  • You are solely responsible for the data you choose to share and the pricing you set.
  • You must not share data that you do not have the right to distribute.
  • Purchasers receive read access to the specific properties covered by the access policy.
  • Revenue from access purchases is credited to your token balance, minus applicable platform fees.
  • You may revoke access policies at any time; existing granted access remains valid until its terms are fulfilled.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' data or accounts
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
  • Use automated systems to excessively burden the Service (beyond normal API usage)
  • Resell or redistribute the Service without our written consent
  • Share misleading or fraudulent data through access policies

8. API Usage

Access to the API is governed by these Terms and any applicable rate limits. API keys are confidential and must not be shared publicly. We may suspend API access if we detect abuse, excessive error rates, or violations of these Terms.

9. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, code, documentation, and branding, is owned by PlanetGraph and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks, logos, or other brand features.

10. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PLANETGRAPH SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR REVENUE, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms or for any other reason with reasonable notice. You may delete your account at any time. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases, and we may delete your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

13. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes via email or through the Service. Your continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance. If you disagree with updated Terms, you must stop using the Service.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of Delaware.
